AL's Stories
Enlightenment for the Enlightened-- The Prophet from Burger King makes another appearance in my writing, though this time he's actually a real person meeting one of the other interesting characters I encountered on a day in Eagle River. Iron Works-- I picked a random profession out of the yellow pages, and this is what happened. The Journey-- About a dream I had. The story really doesn't do the dream justice and kind of sounds goofy at times, but I tried. Mariette's Hands-- I was on the bus and saw a woman who was wearing six rings on one hand and three on the other, so I made up stuff about her. Waiting-- Based on the fact that after Moses killed the Egyptian, he was away from Egypt for about forty years. There must have been gossip about him back in Egypt. Writer's Block-- A surreal kind of story about the plague all writers have experienced.
