Gustav Holst's The Planets: Psychological Journey to Enlightenment-- I wrote this paper for a music history class because I love Holst and The Planets is an amazing piece of music.Palestrina: Music for Meditation-- Another music history paper, showing how Palestrina's church music was important in inducing a meditative state in the listener/worshipper that could then lead to a more direct connection with the Divine.
Portraits of Women in The Iliad and The Odyssey-- A paper I wrote for my Ancient Lit class about the female characters in these two wonderful epic poems. Miriam, Ruth, and Deborah-- A paper I wrote for a religion class, my own views as well as academic views on these famous biblical women.
